Thermal Baths and a Budapest River Cruise

When visiting Budapest there are so many things to do it is almost impossible to do all. This is why when returning to the Hungarian capital for the second time this March we went prepared.

Szechenyi Spa

We have been to Gellert bath before therefore it was time for us to head for the even more popular one: Szechenyi. The Thermal Bath itself is located in the lovely City Park. It is huge and has a certain historical vibe to it. There are about 20 pools differing only in water temperature.

We even signed up for a couple’s massage with my mom J

Having been to both of the main spas of Budapest I can honestly say I get what all the fuss is about.

We left Szechenyi completely refreshed and relaxed.

Budapest River Cruise

Another major perk of this brilliant city is it’s riverside. I don’t think I have ever seen this many beautiful and classic buildings being piled up on top of one and other.

Originally we had tickets for a regular sightseeing Budapest river cruise but decided to upgrade them to the Pizza & Beer Cruise. It means that in addition to a simple Budapest River Cruise we were entitled to a snack (pizza, panini etc.) and to unlimited beer and soft drinks.

Throughout this lovely Budapest Cruise, we sailed past most of the postcard worthy sights of Budapest.

I must say I was completely dazzled by the city and by this Budapest River Cruise for the second time as well.
